This listing is for one MORGAN NO-SLIP LAP FRAME most commonly used for rug hooking, punch needle, quilting and other needle art projects! This hoop is made out of plastic with a heavy duty metal fastener, making it suitable for holding rug hooking patterns drum tight. The two hoops that are included in this item measure 10 inch and 14 inch. Buying this frame is like buying two hoops in one, plus the fact that you can combine them for a very handy lap frame!

This hoop is strong enough to "squish" and hold your rug hooking project as you move it around to work on (see my last photo for a demonstration of this technique). Great for completing projects that are bigger than your hoop circumference! This hoop features a grooved interior that holds your project VERY tight without much slippage!

Using a lap frame, such as this one, in rug hooking, allows your arms and hands the freedom to move without having to balance your hoop. One arm can easily slip underneath your top hoop to work underneath your pattern!

I have found that tightening your pattern on this hoop does take some practice, especially for beginners. Tug on the loose edges of your foundation while tightening the bolt to get maximum tautness. Keep tugging on those loose edges with a strong thumb and you will eventually get a drum tight pattern.
